Calling all area artists! The Grand Lake/Wabash Watershed Alliance is partnering with the City of Celina Public Works to bring some attention to the storm drains along Main Street in Celina.   We are looking for artists to do chalk drawing around storm drains to emphasize that all storm drains are connected – untreated – to bodies of water.  Maybe images of ducks will be coming in and out of the drain; maybe the Hoedag will make an appearance… This awareness project will culminate with the Art, Apples, & Ale event being held in downtown Celina on October 10.

Chalk and a map of the storm drains will be available for pick up at the Mercer Soil and Water Conservation District office, located on the first floor of the Central Services Building in Celina.  Weather permitting, the chalk drawings should be done during the week leading up to the Art, Apples, & Ale event (October 5-9).  The chalk will also be available on the morning of October 10 and will be found on the corner of the courthouse across from Bair Pharmacy.  Projects need to be completed by 10:30 a.m. on October 10.
