The CVB is seeking volunteers for the Get The Carp Outta Here Fishing Tournament to be held May 18 – 20, 2012, on Grand Lake St. Marys.
Last year just under 300 people signed up and took out over 8,000 lbs. of carp in 48 hours. This year the date was moved to May 18, 19, and 20 to catch spawning season.
This year's volunteers will have it easier than last. Last year carp was by weight. This year, they are going to do it by number so it will be easier to volunteer. The largest carp they will still weigh.
Volunteers are needed for two-hour shifts. Removing rough fish is part of the LRC action plan.
