ElectroCell says its patented machine reduces phosphorus and nitrogen from manure before application, allowing farmers to apply more fertilizer yet keep all of their manure on their farms. This could eliminate nutrient runoff that contributes to algal blooms on Grand Lake St. Marys. It's one of a slew of emerging technologies that will help farms operate more efficiently and be environmentally-friendly.
