Meet your Lake Improvement Association executive board members:

Tim Lovett, President

Tim is the current President of the LIA and has been for the last 2+ years.  He has been a member of the LIA since 2005 when he and his wife built a home at Aqua View.  He and Pat have 2 children who reside in Columbus.  He spent his career working in the Oil Industry for various companies and retired in 1999 from BP.  He and his wife have owned a business in Lima for the past 16+ years.  He enjoys weekend boating with family and friends, and also enjoys golf.

Mark Piening, Vice President

Mark Piening is married with two children, Sarah and Ashley, and has two grandchildren.  He lives in both Minster and Aqua Estates on Grand Lake St. Marys and owns an Internet-based medical equipment company, which he operates in Minster.  Mark enjoys boating with his grandchildren, neighbors and friends as well as riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Pat Lovett, Treasurer

Pat is married to Tim Lovett and they have 2 children.  She has been Treasurer for the LIA for the last 2 years.  She and Tim have owned Dot's Pet Food Center in Lima for the last 16+ years.  She has a home in Aqua View subdivision.  Pat enjoys weekends at the lake with their two children, family and friends.

 

Kate Anderson, Secretary

Kate currently serves as the Secretary of the Lake Improvement Association and as Fleet Boat Captain for the St. Marys Boat Club.  Her passion is sailing on the Grand Lake of St. Marys and shares the concerns of many about the water quality issues. 

Kate is currently retired and pursuing a career as an artist.She categorizes her retire in three phases.  She first served as Senior Center Directors and served the elderly population in Virginia and North Carolina.  While in N.C., she entered the field of public transportation and served 20 years. She served as a regional transportation planner, general manager of a regional transportation system, Senior Public Transportation Engineer, Virginia Dept. of Transportation. Her last position in transportation was as National Technical Assistance Coordinator for the nation’s state transit agencies, where she served as the technical advisor to the states and represented their interest in Washington, D.C. with the Federal Transit Administration. 

Kate has also started two successful private-sector businesses. She loves sailing and racing her sailboat, painting (she is a starving artist), and genealogy research.

Jeff Vossler, Trustee

Jeff got involved with the LIA in 2005 to help protect and restore one of the area's greatest recreation and economic assets.  He and his wife, Jean, are lifetime residents of the area and currently reside in the Grimm subdivision at Behm's Landing.  Jeff is the Vice President of Financial Services at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, and is a charter member of the Grand Lake St. Marys Restoration Commission.  The Vossler family spends many days enjoying the outdoor activities offered by Grand Lake St. Marys and its touch with nature.

Dave Meyer, Trustee

The Meyer family has been at Behm's Landing on Grand Lake St. Marys since 1953 .  Gayle and Dave  have been a members of the Lake Improvement Association since 1995. 

 

 

Dave Eyink, Trustee

Dave Eyink is a lifetime resident of the south side of Grand Lake St. Marys.  He and his wife Sharon, along with business partners, own and operate the Dairy Queens in St. Marys and New Bremen as well as Perfect Party Events and Catering.  Dave is an avid sportsman and boater who spends many days on the waters of Grand Lake St. Marys; fishing, boating, and often accompanied by his grandchildren, ages three, two, and one.

Tom Rampe, Trustee

Tom Rampe has been a Lake Improvement Association member for 7 years and a LIA trustee for 4 years.  He is retired after a career in facilities construction and management.  He is a licensed professional engineer in Ohio and has an extensive training and experience in environmental engineering.  Tom represents the LIA as a member of the Ohio NRCS State Technical Committee and as a member of the Lake Restoration Commission.  Tom, and Mary, his wife, have three children and a grandson and they all enjoy boating on the lake.

Stan Wilker, Trustee

Stan Wilker currently works at MAC athletics in Minster.  Prior to his current position he taught and coached baseball and football at Marion Local, where he also served as Athletic Director for 35 years.  He attended Wright State University and the University of Dayton.  After completing two years in the U.S. Army he taught and coached football and track for one year at Bradford Schools.  Stan was born and raised in Montezuma, and now resides on the south side of Grand Lake St. Marys with his wife, Janet. Together they have three children and seven grandchildren, all whom love the lake. Seeing an improved Grand Lake St. Marys has become a priority in Stan's life.

Brian Morris, Trustee

A lifelong resident of St. Marys, Brian Morris has enjoyed countless adventures on the banks and in the waters of Grand Lake St. Marys as well as the canal it feeds. He looks forward to an improved Grand Lake St. Marys so his two young sons can similarly enjoy the area's outdoors.
