THANKS to all who have renewed their annual membership promptly. If you still havent sent yours, wont you do it now before you forget. Also, thanks to everyone who sponsored new members. Many of you sent extra donations to further our efforts hats off to all of you!! Working together, we will continue to make progress toward cleaning up Grand Lake.
The April meeting was brief, with reminders from committee chairs of upcoming events - no report from the ODNR. Laura Walker, Grand Lake/Wabash Watershed Coordinator, presented her Virtual Farm Tour a film she took at three area farms showing daily life on a chicken farm, dairy farm, and hog farm. Popcorn and sodas were provided courtesy of the Moose Lodge, and everyone enjoyed being educated on what happens in the lives of our area producers. Representatives from Cooper Farms were on hand to field questions after the film. Our thanks to them for attending and for their cooperation in the making of the film!! Thanks also to the Celina Moose staff for their hospitality and generosity for this special event. Member Ed Weaver brought 50 of our new lake maps (unfolded) that hed laminated; they were snapped up quickly they can be used as placemats, desk decoration, etc. He will have more available soon thanks Ed theyre really neat!!
