In May 2012, Mrs. Kristy Guy's 4th grade class at St. Marys Intermediate School learned about pollutants that threaten the environment. As part of the cirriculum, the children tested soil and water, then gave presentations to LIA President Tim Lovett and LIA Vice President Mark Piening. The pair also gave presentations about Grand Lake St. Marys, and answered student questions regarding the state of the lake and what is being done to restore it.
Many of the student presentations were recorded, and are shared in the video below. The LIA thanks Mrs. Guy and her students for the amazing opportunity to be a part of their ecosystem education.
