Producers have asked why they should join the Lake Improvement Association in saving Grand Lake St. Marys.  Some feel they're being blamed for the problem, others simply do not want to make changes that they perceive as being costly and counterproductive.  Both are understandable.

First and foremost, it should be noted that the Lake Improvement Association looks forward to working together with producers to save the lake.  The lake is an asset to everyone who lives, works, and plays in the watershed; and there are compelling reasons for why producers should join the effort.  They include:
